What is I'm With Loser Productions?
IWL Productions is a small film production company which focuses mainly on creating humorous short films and sketches for internet streaming. Our main site is on YouTube but we also have videos on Funny Or Die and Vimeo.

When and how did you get started?
On September 30th, 2006 Justin Friesen and Ely Henry got together to make some YouTube videos. When looking for an image on Ely's computer to use as a production company logo, Justin spotted the I'm With Loser picture Ely had once made for "shits and giggles" (scientific term). Justin had the idea to just tag "Productions" on the bottom of it, and IWL was born!

Who's behind this crazy place?!?
Well, if you'd been paying attention, you might have read that IWL was founded by Justin Friesen and Ely Henry. But apparently you weren't listening, so we have to go over this again. I don't want to be rude, but maybe you could pay attention this time so you don't have to ask the same question twice.

Anyway, the two founders of IWL are Justin Friesen:
Justin Friesen is an Actor, Filmmaker, Musician and Iced Tea enthusiast. Justin was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia (home of Picnicface, Ellen Page, Joel Plaskett and lobster). He has been acting since the age of five, singing from his exeunt from the womb and playing guitar for twelve years. Justin moved to Toronto in 2005 and was over enthused to meet Ely at camp to later create I'm With Loser Productions. Justin has recently graduated from Etobicoke School of the Arts and will be attending Ryerson University's Film Studies programme in the fall.

and Ely Henry:
Ely Henry has been acting and entertaining all his life. He's been taking Second City classes since the age of eleven and has been in the Second City Teen Troupe two years in a row. As a professional actor he's been in several commercials, two movies (Mean Girls and Cheaper By The Dozen 2) and a variety of different television shows. He'll be attending Sheridan College for Media Arts starting in September '09. Ely plays the Ukulele and really likes wearing suits.

Oh...I don't know...I just thought we had a bit of an FAQ thing going on...I didn't mean anything by it...

Ahh...Heh, ok.
Right now IWL is working on putting up a live stage sketch show. The show will feature live sketches (some taken from our videos but most written for the show) and will be performed live for audiences around Toronto. (Yes, we know how redundant that was). Information on IWL Live is coming soon.
Also, as the two founders head to film school we're aiming for higher production value and larger scale productions coming to you ASAP.
Better keep an eye out for IWL! It's going places!
